TERMS, CONDITIONS & ESSENTIAL INFORMATION


Bookings

Online bookings can be made through our own website here or Let’s Go Scotland.

Bookings made through our online booking system, supercontrol, are provisional until confirmed by ourselves via email. Telephone bookings/email bookings will be confirmed by email. Our company name is Law Park Properties Ltd. and we have been based here at Outfield Farm since 1995. We promote our self catering business here as Outfield Farm and/or Outfield Farm Cabins which is our newest venture.

Rates

The rates include all bed linen, towels, power, wi-fi (in cottages only) and even logs so please do not be wasteful as logs cost a fortune nowadays to buy in and our own logs which we also use take years to dry, only burn what you need. If your hot tub is too hot to get into - add cold water, so that you can still use it, don’t waste it! Travel cots (cot bedding and linen, please bring your own) and high chairs are available on request at no extra cost, booking required as there is limited availability - cots and highchairs for cottages only.

Deposit

A deposit of 25% is required as confirmation of the booking. This must be paid within 7 days of booking the property otherwise we reserve the right to re-let. Payments by credit card or bank transfer, there will be a link on your booking form to pay by credit card but we can send our bank details if you prefer a bank transfer.

Balance

The remaining balance will be required 60 days prior to entry date. Bookings made within 60 days of arrival will be charged in full.

Damage

Any damage done to or within the property or its contents will be chargeable to the person who booked the accommodation, please let us know about damage as soon as it happens so that it does not inconvenience the next guests. Please make us aware of broken glasses/mugs/crockery as you leave as it is really not usual for us to charge for breaking one or two of these items, we appreciate there is wear and tear and glasses are usually the victims.

Booking cancellation and holiday insurance

If the booking is cancelled at least 60 days before the balance is paid, 100% of what has been paid will be refunded. If booking is cancelled after that point you will not get a refund. However - we will do our best to re-let the property, and if we manage to re-let for the same price or similar, we can refund the guest minus an administration fee of £50.00. We strongly recommend that you have adequate holiday/travel insurance in place in case you need to cancel your booking for any reason – travel related or medical related etc. The proprietor (Law Park Properties) reserves the right, under circumstances beyond their control, (e.g. fire damage, flood or the interruption of utility supplies), to change the booking to a property of a similar standard and grading. Should it not be possible to offer an alternative holiday property and the proprietor needs to cancel the booking, the rental paid will be returned in full to the hirer and the hirer shall have no further claim against the proprietor.

Parking

Each cottage has its own parking area at its front door.

Cabin users will be directed to a covered parking area near the cabins, and then asked to walk in to their cabins. We discourage late night comings and goings by car to the cabin parking area for health, safety and noise reasons. We currently have no charging points for electric vehicles but according to the map there is a charging point at Inchture Primary school, Inchture and in Glendoick garden centre.

Pets (no pets in the cabins)

Some of our properties allow dogs, please book your dog in – check each property description and speak to us to book dog (s) in. We currently do not charge for dogs on direct bookings, maximum of 2 dogs. Our 3 cottages are dog friendly but no dogs at all allowed in the 3 cabins.

Dogs are not allowed on the beds or on the furniture - too many superking duvet covers have been ruined by muddy paw prints and enough is enough or we will start charging for dogs! Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottages. Please bring dog beds/towels/bowls and do not wash dog towels in the cottage washing machines. Dog poo bags are available in the Games room and a bin for these bags is in the bins area.

Liability

Law Park Properties accept no responsibility for: (a) any injury to residents or their families or their guests or their pets; (b) any damage to any property belonging to any of the above, including motor cars.

Occupancy and Guest restrictions

Numbers of people occupying the property must not exceed the maximum numbers stated in the property description (this is an insurance and short term let licensing requirement): all 3 cabins sleep a maximum of 2 in each cabin, Honeysuckle sleeps 2, Pitmiddle sleeps 4 and Outfield sleeps 6. We do not rent our properties out to persons under the age of 23. We respectfully ask that guests going to nearby weddings do not book our cabins, due to safety and noise reasons. These cabins are designed for guests purely coming for the benefits and tranquillity of a cabin stay. Please note however that we frequently welcome wedding guests to our cottages - taxis can take you right to your door.

Entry to the property

Entry to each property is after 4 pm. All properties are non smoking inside. Smoking outside is permitted but please note smoking outside in the cabins is strictly controlled because of the fire risk and information will be provided in the cabin. Key information and directions will be sent on receipt of your balance payment.

Miscellaneous

If you have any concerns whilst staying with us, however small, please let us know immediately so that we can help/advise/rectify as soon as is reasonably possible. It may require us to enter the property, with your prior permission. For example - if the farm cottages’ wifi needs resetting for whatever reason, we will require access to Pitmiddle cottage attic where mission control is located! Considerate guest behaviour - we ask our cottage guests to respect their cottage neighbours and ensure that loud noise is over by 10 pm. No fireworks etc. due to livestock. Cabin guests - you don’t have immediate neighbours but again considerate guest behaviour is requested with regards to noise. Walking/Fields - please shut any gates that you open and keep dogs on lead in the fields as there are usually sheep. We can let you know, if you ask, if sheep are still around (they are not in our fields all year round here). Don’t walk through crops - we can tell you which fields are in stubble, so that you may walk across them. Walking guide and a path map will be in your information pack - as guests are encouraged to follow our maintained paths for short walks. Please expect a tractor and accompanying farmer (next door neighbour) in our grass fields early each morning to check his sheep.

Departure

Departure is by 10 am.

Please:

Leave the keys to the properties inside the property in the lock (for cabins ensure the bathroom key is also left in the lock where we can immediately see them). Replacement keys will be charged at £15.

Leave the property tidy with all washing up done/dishwasher in progress.

Take all your food with you and clear the fridge/cupboards of your belongings, don’t forget inside the ottoman beds in the cabins.

Strip beds and put linen into a provided laundry bag, put all towels/robes/bath mats/tea-towels into a second laundry bag as bed linen and towels are processed in different locations.

Remove all rubbish in all bins (including bathrooms) and dispose of in on site recycling/rubbish facilities. Bottles and clean recycling have their own bins as well as bin for Landfill. Our bins area is just up from The Wellness Studio for the cottages and is located in our covered parking area for the cabins. Food recycling is currently in the brown lidded bin at our road end, this may change.

Personal Details/Privacy information

Personal information remains confidential and is kept no longer than necessary, in accordance with UK GDPR regulations. We do not credit card details as we do not handle credit card payments, it is all taken care of online by our payment provider Holiday Rent Payment. We may give you our bank details so that you can pay by bank transfer, if you wish.
