Key Information - Cabins

The adventure starts once you park your car in our covered parking area known as Base Camp - each cabin has its designated parking spot with plenty of space to unload. Once you have unloaded you need to walk to your cabin along a rough gravelled track. We provide wheelbarrows in which you can place your items if you want to transport them that way. We are not anticipating that you have a lot of luggage - just clothing and food/drink - as the cabins are well equipped. Whin is about a 50 metre walk slightly down hill, Bothan Dubh is about a 90 metre walk, and The Sheiling is the furthest away! The Sheiling is about 250 metres uphill from the car parking area, and the last 75 metres are quite steep. We can offer to take your luggage up to The Shelling for you, if you arrange timings in advance with us. We will provide directions and we also use the App "What 3 Words".

Carefully read your list of important items to bring, for example a good head torch is essential in the winter. We do not have outside lighting on our tracks, you are on the hillside!

Please read all information in advance that we send out to you, it will include videos on how to light fires etc. in the woodburners, hot tubs and Faster Gretas. All fires will be set, ready for you to light on your arrival so have a good look at how things are set up. We use bottled gas (LPG) in the cabins so you always have that for a cooking option on the hob or in the ovens, and it also ensures you have a hot shower. Full written instructions will be in the cabins.

Have a question? Read our FAQs.

Fire safety is hugely important - pots will be available outside for cigarette buts (they must not be discarded indiscriminately), fire equipment is in each cabin. Warm fires are an essential part of a cabin experience so please respect all rules and instructions.

Babies, children and pets - Very sorry but we do not allow babies, children or pets in the cabins, they are an adults only space.

Bathrooms - These are not in the main body of the living area, you need to go out of your front door and in the adjacent door to access your bathroom or in the case of The Sheiling - you go into your mirrored bathroom building. It’s a small adventure!

Phone signal - we are with EE and do get a signal on the terraces of each cabin and inside each cabin apart from The Sheiling sometimes, where we need to stand at the door to find the signal - although some guests do get a signal inside.

Wifi - we do not provide wifi in the cabins. If you need to check in with wifi we have wi fi in our Wellness studio.

Security Cameras

We have security cameras recording on the access and exit routes around the farm.
